Verified Reviewer |Alleged White Collar Crime at Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM
Mrs. Helen Rogers (born 7/9/1947) is a victim of Financial Exploitation of the Elderly in the First-Degree (Alabama Code Title 13A.
Criminal Code § 13A-6-195) by the Finance Manager, Christopher Cornelius, at Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM at 1624 Montgomery Hwy, Hoover, AL 35216. Christopher's friend, Bruce Jones, was heard discussing Mrs. Rogers financial status at the dealership prior to April 15, 2022--the day he brought her there under false pretenses. Upon doing a background check, we discovered that Bruce Jones has 8 aliases, about 22 residential addresses dating back to 2011, no employment of record, and he made up a church name which he obtained a license for April 5, 2022, ten days before driving a very confused Mrs.
Rogers 28 miles from her home to the dealership where the truck he had selected was waiting.
Bruce led Mrs. Rogers to believe that he wanted her to accompany him to search for a pick-up truck that was reasonable. He asked her to loan him a down payment, if it was required. When she proceeded to ask questions about the truck that Bruce had already chosen, Christopher insisted that she had to "feed the computer" her personal information before the computer could generate the answers to her questions.
She told him, more than once, that she didn't come to buy a truck. She asked why she had to provide her social security number. Christopher and Bruce edged her on, stating that she had to answer all of the questions in the application. She asked if she was filling out an application and Christopher assured her that it was a "mock" application.
When she finished, Christopher deceived her into signing an electronic tablet to allow him to make himself a power of attorney over the pick-up truck.
With the POA, he registered the truck to Bruce Jones. Mrs. Rogers was not provided any information or paperwork, initially. ALL of the documents pertaining to the transaction were given to Bruce Jones.
Mrs. Rogers finally realized what the two men had done to her. She told me she was afraid for her well-being. She asked Bruce to take her home and told him not to drive the truck off of the lot because she was not buying a truck.
He took her home in the same vehicle used to get her there. Apparently, he went to the dealership and got the truck because it is in his possession. Mrs. Rogers was treated with depraved indifference by Christopher Cornelius and Joel Smith, the sales manager has failed to respond to our request to terminate the illegally obtained sell.
Mrs.
Rogers was denied any documentation from Christopher Cornelius until she brought a man who is close to the family with her to demand any paperwork containing her signature. We have provided reports with the proper consumer protection agencies, the police and more. It doesn't have to go any further. It is obvious that Christopher Cornelius and Bruce Jones believed that Mrs.
Rogers would be helpless to do anything about the fraud act. Please let them know that it would be in the best interest of the company for the truck to be returned and the contract voided out. Mrs. Rogers lost her daughter in 2021 due to COVID-19.
She is still grieving. She has been treated with abominable cruelty by the administrative personnel at Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Hoover, Alabama. Rick Hendrick, age 72, should not want it said that the elderly are targets at the dealership representing his name.
An ethical company, with integrity, would terminate the contract for the 2017 Chevrolet Truck Silverado 1500, VIN # 3GCUKREC9HG326180. Christopher Cornelius should cease attempting to get Mrs.
Rogers to return to the dealership.
We are asking that he refrain from contacting his accomplice, Bruce Jones, to have him harass Mrs. Rogers with calls, text messages and unwanted visits to her home.
- Christopher used trickery to get my credit information
Preferred solution: Cancel their illegal obtained contract. Deception was used to gain signatures and my personal information. I did not know that they were making me complete an application and a POA.

I was told that the vehicle I was purchasing would be ready by a particular date, I was lied to by sales associate and car wasnt ready until days later. The Salesperson, that wasnt the one that sold me the car and some other person (absolutely no clue who they were), gave me two different reasons for why car wasnt ready, gave me a complete run around and when I would call them back, they stopped answering my calls. Total disregard and beyond disrespectful to a customer. Not to mention, so unprofessional and rude!!
What a waste of time this dealership is and the customer service is *** Sales Associates need to show some professionalism and treat customers with respect!!

Hendrick Chevrolet Dealership Cary, North Carolina
Deplorable experience with the current sales manager on Friday. The dealership is just not the same without Cameron Singleton leading the team!!
Devonte Battle is absolutely phenomenal to work with and should seriously be running that store. I'll never purchase another vehicle from them again due to the sales manager (who will remain nameless). As a very LOYAL customer over many years, you would think that the sales manager would have an ounce of graciousness, respect and kindness for long term customers. Once the chip shortage is fixed and the car lots are back to being packed with vehicles, it will be the long-term customers that return time and time again, but not in this case.
Sometimes you come across people that have no business working in a customer service industry. To quote Investopedia, "Good customer service is critical to business success, ensuring brand loyalty one customer at a time."
Said sales manager insisted on charging me $6k for tires that I already paid the exact same dealership for in 2020. The kicker was that the new 2022 Tahoe didn't even have the 22" tires on it yet, so it could've been an easy swap, but not for him.
He wanted me to pay for new 22's and then make another $6k off of the 22's I already paid for on my 2020 Tahoe that are in pristine condition. Now, I may be a woman and I may be blonde, but I'm not a fool and I'll be driving the distance to give all of my future business to Cameron along with letting every person I know to never buy from that dealership ever agDain!

Service performed & not needed, triple charged for same part, Misdiagnoseoriginallyd
I took my 2012 XJL portfolio (65000 pampered miles) to the dealer because I had a faint smell of antifreeze after a 5 minute idle in my garage. After a diagnostic they told me I had a leaking water pump ( Suspect to me when there was zero loss of fluid). I said okay how much to repair it &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; they said $928.86 +tax. I said okay, got a loaner and left. after about 3 hours I got a call from the service rep saying that my car had two piece pipes that needed to be replaced because once the new pump was put on they would fail. I asked him didnt you know that when I agreed to the repair of the water pump. He had no answer but I felt stuck because I did not want to have the same problem later. I reluctantly agreed to $2,263 of additional work. After the car was finished I drove home to my garage about 10 miles away and parked the car
(Its one of my 4 cars & I only drive it on long trips) The first week of July I drove to Texas and back. When I parked in the garage, while unpacking I smelled the antifreeze again. I took the car back to the dealer and they now tell me that the head gasket had a minute leak but would cost me $8,000.00 to fix. They said I declied a compression test which should have been done when they diagnosed the problem the first time. They also charged me for antifreeze 3 times.( I eventually got that refunded).
I then went on the Jag forum and discovered that my car did not have the split pipes that needed to be ugraded
The first service they said I needed rear tie rod ends front lower control arms-forward front lower control arms-lateral rear sway bar links fuel rail service fuel system service annual service
Then on 7-26 they said I needed air filter cabin filter 4 wheel alignment rear stabilizer link rear lower arms rear upper arm transmission mounts
For an $87,000 car with 68k (I am the only owner & driver)
it sure as *** fell apart if it needs all those repairs. The car still rides like it did when I bought so, I cannot conceive that it needs all those suspension repairs. The bill states the customer stated check this and check that....a crock of it. I never mentioned any repair estimates except the cooling.
I had my car looked at my another foreign car expert and they said my suspension system did not need all the work they claimed, but as we all know that's their diagnostic and they can differ, however everything considered either way a bad experience either the service or the car
By the way when my car was serviced by the original jaguar dealer prior to it being bought by Hendricks I never had any problems during the 17 years & 3 Jaguars I bought from them.
This was a very disappointing experience becase I have purchased 4 other cars from Hendrick, 1 new Pacifica, 1 New Lexus, 1 used Lexus, and 1 Toyota with no service problems whatsoever. mm minute I got a ca aa cc call from the service rep who said th

Charges for parts that were not bad.
My 2017 Tundra was diagnosed with a wheel sensor issue, the wheel sensor was replaced for $240. My dash still showing wheel errors.
They said it was the sensor cable it was changed for another 260 dollars Same issue dash errors still showing they charge me another 89 dollars diagnostic fee. I took my truck over to Black's Tire. In 2 minutes, the technician said it was a bad wheel bearing. Cost 600 took 2 hrs.
Replaced it error codes stopped, complete. I called Hendrick Toyota 3 times and spoke with a manager who said he would look it up and call me back...... Never happened, the next time I went there for an oil changed came in at 7am at 2 pm my vehicle still had not been looked at, one of the technicians told me later they were told to service my truck last.
I have 4 other stories of bad issues and charges for work that was not performed on my truck.... So I know they this to to most black people,,,,, The technician suggested I take my truck to Sanford Toyota.

Verified Reviewer |Very Dissatisfied Ex Employee who purchased a used car!
I purchased a 2012 Ford Focus on September 29 2020 I drove the car with the salesman for approximately 45Min. While driving everything seemed fine we stopped and made sure everything with all the accessories were all working properly.
So went inside and made a deal and purchased it. The salesman drove it to my home and I took him back in my Wrangler back to the Hendrick Toyota in Merriam Kansas. So I ran errands and went home, My wife said lets take it out for a cruise and that is when the transmission was shuttering from a dead stop and continued So went back home. I went online to see if this was an issue with this Vehicle and to my surprise Ford has a class action lawsuit and if has numerous complaints.
So the next day I drove to a local Ford Dealer to have them checked, so he pulled the Vin and this car has been in and out numerous recall and fixes for this issue, He told me that it will never be fixed that it is a band aid fix that will continue. So I had the service writer print a full history and recall reports.I went to the dealer with this information in less than 24 hours after purchasing it this car has problems I told the salesman that I am turning this car back because with a 3month 3000 power train warranty this car will never be ok according to Ford and all complaint. So he Told his Sales Director Ben That I did not want this car, That is when it all went South Ben said he couldn't give me my money back and went back and forth and I walked out left the car and since then I have been leaving messages for the GM Zed Shipley without any response. I have also sent emails to Hendricks Corporate office with same results no response.
I am very disappointed that in less than 24 hours I can't get my Money back.
I have talked 2 Local Dealership owners they told me they could just unwind the deal and move on. I don't even have a title I paid cash it is $9000.00 really!
- Know they can unwind this deal
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don't buy a used car fro this dealership
